The process will begin with the reporting of the allegation. As the manager, you must decide whether you wish to lead the investigation into the matter or distance yourself from it to remain available for any potential disciplinary action, should it be appropriate.

You cannot serve as both the investigator and the lead in a disciplinary hearing for the same case, as this would present a conflict of interest.
